The David Foster & Friends Gala 2012 in Victoria BC

WOW! What a weekend – The David Foster & Friends Gala was held in Victoria this year, and it was a star studded event. Josh Groban, Pamela Lee Anderson, Sarah Maclachaln, The Tenors, Wayne Gretzky, Muhammed Ali, to name just a few. As usual I was brought in to work the green room before the show, perform table side for a few of the Platinum sponsors and of course work the Invitation Only After hours party. The Save On foods was transformed into a fine dining restaurant for 1500!!!! The food was delicious and served with impeccable timing. There was a pre show for the 1500 sitting at the dining tables in the venue (seats were the customary 1,000.00 or 2,000.00 per seat for a table of ten and it was sold out!) and then the doors open to the public and another 3,000 people were allowed in for the show. And a spectacular show it was. It was nice to hear Josh and Sarah sing together again. In 2005, at the River Rock Casion, they performed “into the arms of an angel” together and I sat in the theatre during rehearsal as they sang it about 6 or 7 times (David is a perfectionist) and tears were rolling down my cheeks.
