A whirlwind trip to Phoenix! December 27th 2015, I flew to Phoenix to perform at a private function with David Foster, and husband and wife team Kel Levesque (Singer extraordinaire) and Fraser Waters (the Tenors). We performed at a private wedding for 250 guests at a beautiful resort just outside of Phoenix. The first highlight for me was when David played Piano and Kel & Fraser sang David’s song ’The Prayer’. That brought tears to my eyes.

The second highlight came at 1:30 a.m. when a dozen of us were sitting around a fire pit in the back yard of a friend of the bride.

David asked me to do a couple of tricks for the group and I put on a little private show. I wanted to do something special for David and everyone there so I closed my late night set with a multiple selection where I had everyone there pick a card (10 people) and all the cards were lost and shuffled into the deck. I then found each card in a more entertaining and magical manner than the previous one. When I was done and sat down to a rousing round of applause, Fraser asked David “How is that possible? we are sitting right here and this is being done in front of our eyes”.
David replied with perhaps the nicest compliment I have ever received in my 40 years of performing magic.

David said: “Magicians are like musicians. There are some entertainers who buy a guitar, learn a few chords and then start to play in small clubs and think they are musicians. Some people buy a few simple magic tricks and call themselves a magician. What you are seeing here is the 10,000 hour rule, and actually with Eric it is the 20,000-hour rule. If Eric was a musician, he would be a violin virtuoso with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.”
Wow! thank you David!!!! I flew out at 5:30 a.m. the next morning, Dec 30th, so I could prep for NYE show on Dec 31st up in Tofino!! ‘Keeping the Magic Alive’
